Matt Schuman Memorial Award

About: Each year, the Matt Schuman Award for Disability Access & Community Inclusion is presented to a local business or member of the community that makes particular efforts to help people with disabilities live more independent and self-sufficient lives.

Matt Schuman: Matt Schuman was a celebrated sports reporter for The Greeley Tribune and an advocate for people with disabilities. Born with Muscular Dystrophy, Matt was known by the members of the Greeley community as an inspiration and trailblazer. Matt Schuman passed away in August 2013, and we would like to honor his life by renaming our annual Matt Schuman Award the Matt Schuman Memorial Award, an indication that future recipients will follow the tracks of his unfailing legacy to help people with disabilities in our community.
